  • Ideal For: Active regional competitors looking to sharpen racing strategies and step up training loads.

  • Training Commitment: 8 sessions are offered weekly. Swimmers must attend a minimum of 3 sessions per week, though 4+ is highly recommended for consistent progression.

Squad 1.5 - Emerging Junior Elite Pathway

Squad 1.5 is our specialized transitional tier bridging the gap between Squad 2 development and Squad 1 senior intensity. Tailored specifically for talented junior athletes aged 12 and under, this competitive swim squad allows emerging stars to train alongside motivated peers at an accelerated pace. It builds the high-performance habits, self-discipline, and technical skills required for ultimate senior-level success.

  • Ideal For: Promising young athletes aged 12 and under who are physically and technically ready for advanced workloads.

  • Entry Criteria: Selection is at the sole discretion of the coaching team. Coaches evaluate multi-stroke technical precision, positive racing attitudes, and work ethic over raw speed alone.

Dryland Strength & Conditioning:
Building Power Beyond the Pool

At Vikings Swim Club, we know that championship speed isn't just built in the water. Our comprehensive training pathways include dedicated dryland sessions designed to optimize performance, build physical resilience, and develop the mental stamina required for high-performance competitive swim squads. Incorporating structured dryland routines directly targets core stability, explosive power, and shoulder longevity, correcting muscle imbalances that naturally occur from repetitive swim strokes.

By focusing on full-body mobility and functional strength on land, our athletes significantly improve their body rotation, flip-turn power, and block-start dive distance. Whether you are a developing junior in Squad 3 mastering fundamental movement patterns or an elite athlete in Squad 1 engaging in a targeted, specialized strength and conditioning routine, our expert-led dryland programme provides the competitive edge needed to excel at regional, national, and international meets.
